| IONS
at 35!
For thirty-five years, since our founding
in 1973 by Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell,
IONS has continued to show courageous leadership
in challenging limited ideas of human capacity.
Our work and our findings continually
demonstrate that humanity is more interconnected
than we ever imagined, and that we have capacities
that are far greater than we ever realized.
In a time of both extraordinary
promise and increasing peril, we hope you will
agree that our research and education initiatives
are more relevant than ever. Informed by the best
science and the most inspiring, provocative thinkers
on the planet, we must continue to explore what
it means to live a truly conscious life.
When you are at the frontier, you
depend upon truly visionary and courageous philanthropy.
Please consider making a very special gift to
IONS this anniversary year and invest with us
in changing the story of our future.
— James O'Dea, IONS President, 2008
